The role of graduates in universities

On October 19 Direct To Internationalization meeting was organized by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and Medical University of Gdańsk.

The meeting was inaugurated by dr hab. Tomasz Smiatacz, M.D., Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Students’ Affairs of MUG and Łukasz Wojdyga, director at Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Experts from the EAIE European Association for International Education: Serge Sych,Vice President for Enrollment Management, Career Services and Alumni Relations at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary) and Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, director at Marketing Communications Office, University of Economics in Katowice talked about relations with university graduates.

International Alumni programme was presented by Katarzyna Aleksy, Head of the Department of Programmes for Institutions, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Programme support universities and scientific units conducting education with foreign graduates. Using their knowledge and experience in educational processes and building the Polish institutions brand abroad.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the educational market in the Middle East and Vietnam. These markets were selected based on the results of surveys examining university’s geographical preferences. The Middle East workshop was conducted by Ewa Kiszka from the MUG, and the education panel about Vietnam market was presented by Marta Foryś from AGH.
