New MUG’s cardiac simulation laboratory

The MUG has received funding for a new Cardiac Simulation Laboratory financed by the Ministry of Health under the Operational Programme Knowledge, Education and Development 2014-2020 (in Polish: Program Operacyjny Wiedza Edukacja Rozwój – PO WER) The budget is 10 509 495,7 PLN and will support the project “Improving quality of highly specialised postgraduate education in the field of cardiology” which aims at training medical doctors, residents, trainees, as well as specialised medical doctors who want to raise their professional qualifications. The project partner is the Cardinal Wyszynski Institute of Cardiology, which is a significant Polish postgraduate education centre in the field of cardiology.

The contract was signed on 26th of September, 2018, by Rector prof. Marcin Gruchała, M.D. Ph.D. and Janusz Cieszyński, Under-Secretary of State for Health.

The implementation of this projects will increase professional competences and qualifications of multi-professional teams responding to epidemiological and demographic needs, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, mental disorders, respiratory diseases, the osteoarticular-muscular system diseases, as well as surgical skills.
