The tripartite agreement of cooperation in the field of health education of inhabitants of our region has been signed on August 22, 2018, by prof. Marcin Gruchała, Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG), Jakub Kraszewski, General Director of the University Clinical Centre (UCC) in Gdańsk and Dariusz Wasielewski, Chairman of the Board of Radio Gdańsk SA (RG). Over the next year, the institutions will work together to spread knowledge about health, disease prevention and treatment methods available in Pomerania.
The original series “Be healthy – without a queue”, initiated in 2017 by the MUG and Radio Gdańsk, used to take place in the RG’s concert hall named after Janusz Hajdun. This year series will take place in a different location – in the UCC building. Traditionally, once a month, the MUG’s scientists of various specialties will meet with radio listeners.
“Be healthy – without a queue” is an original project of the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Radio Gdańsk, which started in 2017. As part of the collaboration, the MUG’s scientists met once a month with radio listeners in its concert hall. So far, in the project participated such specialists as orthopedists, physiotherapists, cardiologists, dentists, endocrinologists, immunologists, diabetologists, gastroenterologists, rheumatologists, dermatologists and specialists from the Faculty of Pharmacy. The coordinators of the project are Joanna Matuszewska, the RG’s journalist and Joanna Śliwińska, the MUG’s spokesman. In 2018, from the UCC’s side the project will support Sylwia Mierzewska from the UCC’s Organisation and Promotion section.
