An article of the MUG’s scientists in “Scientific Reports” journal

“Scientific Reports”, a well-known journal belonging to the Nature Publishing Group, published an article “Cancer stem cells as targets for DC-based immunotherapy of colorectal cancer”, which presents results of a research conducted by the MUG’s scientists. The project was entirely planned and completed by Magdalena Szaryńska M.D. Ph.D. and a Ph.D. student Agata Olejniczak M.A. from the Department of Histology in cooperation with surgeons from the Department of General, Endocrine and Transplant Surgery.

The project concerned the analysis of dendritic cells (DCs) and how potentially they can be useful for an immunotherapy of patients with colorectal cancer.

The work was carried out thanks to a grant from the National Science Centre: N N402 684040 and the financing of Young Scientists projects MN 01-0232 / 08/280.
