Dr. phil. Andreas Stähli, M.A. from the Leitung Akademie operating at Johannes-Hospiz in Münster, Germany, was a guest of the MUG’s Palliative Medicine Department. The aim of the visit was to implement an international scientific project dedicated to the development an interdisciplinary programme of postgraduate education in the field of palliative care in the European region. The project is implemented by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg and with support of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC). Dr Stähli invited two Polish scientists as experts to participate in the project: Leszek Pawłowski M.D. Ph.D. from the MUG’s Palliative Medicine Department and prof. Małgorzata Krajnik from the Department of Palliative Care at Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, UMK in Toruń.
