According to the participants of the 3rd Summer School of Anatomical Dissection, which lasted from 2.07. to 27.07.2017, “knowledge and practical skills are extremely important in the medical profession”. Seven students from the University of Palermo together with the tutors dr Rosario Barone and dr Agata Grazia-D’Amico attended the seminars, lectures and 130 hours of anatomical preparation. Activities (attended also by members of the Student Scientific Circle and other MUG students interested in anatomy) were organised at the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology. Under the supervision of Jan Spodnik M.D. Ph.D. and co-workers from the Department, participants of the Summer School have improved their knowledge in topographic anatomy and skills in the preparation techniques. During their free time, students took a trip through the forests around Gdańsk and visited the Museum of the Second World War. The stay of guests from Italy is the next step of implementation of the agreement on scientific and didactic cooperation between the Medical University of Gdańsk and the University of Palermo, and according to assurances of participants, this is not their last visit to Poland.
