The MUG has been identified in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), the world’s oldest university ranking, also known as the Shanghai Ranking. Our University appeared in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018 (place 301-400) in the category medical science-clinical medicine. Other Polish universities mentioned in the ranking are the Medical University of Warsaw (place 301-400), the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (place 301-400), the Medical University of Lodz (place 301-400) and the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (the 301-400).
ARWU is an annual publication of university rankings by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. The league table was originally compiled and issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003 and currently is regarded as one of the three most influential and widely observed university measures, alongside QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
