Conference for chemistry teachers at the MUG

On June 6, 2018, the Medical University of Gdańsk hosted participants of the “Chemistry at a closer look” conference. The event was organised by the Department of Inorganic Chemistry in cooperation with the Department of Bromatology and with support of the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Chemical Society.

The participants of the conference included secondary school and high school teachers of chemistry together with their pupils. This year’s edition concerned chemistry in food. The pupils participated in workshops prepared by the Department of Inorganic Chemistry and the Department of Bromatology while the teachers listened to a series of lectures on dietary supplements and proper nutrition.
