The Marrow Hero campaign

The MUG’s students, in cooperation with the Bone Donors Centre of the University Clinical Centre, organised a two-day registration campaign of potential bone marrow donors. Students were active in two locations: the Faculty of Pharmacy where they joined forces with the Polish Pharmaceutical Students’ Association, Gdańsk branch and in the Collegium Biomedicum building. Ninety people joined the database of potential bone marrow donors. The marrow donation was accompanied by the blood donation, distribution of information about post-mortem organ donation and declarations of will, as well as the lecture on transplantology, delivered by Michał Taszner M.D. from the Clinic of Haematology and Transplantology.
