Ministerial scholarship for the MUG’s scientist

Magdalena Górska-Ponikowska M.D. Ph.D. from the Department of Medical Chemistry received a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists conducting high quality researches and scientific output on an international scale.

In the 12th edition of the competition, the Minister of Science and Higher Education allocated 40 074 650 PLN to finance scholarships for outstanding young scientists. 1159 people applied for the scholarship and 209 scholarships were awarded. The success rate was 18.03%. For the next three years, scholarship holders will receive 5,390 PLN per month.

Scholarships for young scientists are awarded annually by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to persons who on the day of an application submission are under 35 years of age. They are intended for researchers employed at universities, at institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences or research institutes.
