Students from Toho University at the MUG

From November 27th to December 8th, 2017, four students from Japan took an internship at the hospital pharmacy at the University Clinical Centre (UCC). During the internship supervised by Wioletta Kaliszan Ph.D. and Ewa Wnorowska, M.A., Japanese students assisted pharmacists in the cytostatic isolator procedure and worked in such laboratories as parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, antifungal and eye medicines. During their stay, they had an opportunity to observe the embolisation procedure at the Department of Radiology. They participated in such English Division’s classes as the Sociology of Medicine, Immunology and Pharmacology, as well as Toxicology. Together with Szymon Dziomba Ph.D., they also visited Polpharma S.A. in Starogard Gdański.

The internship was possible thanks to an agreement between the MUG’s Pharmaceutical Faculty and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and the Toho University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
