Modern technology underlines demands of modern medicine. Specialists from the MUG’s Department of Orofacial Surgery performed two another surgeries of the mandibular reconstructions using 3D printing.

The first patient was a 31 year-old man with a rare dental cancer which destroyed part of his jaw. The other patient was a 34 year-old man who was injured in a traffic accident. This was the first treatment in Poland using an implant individually made for a patient a few days after the injury.

The operating team included Adam Polcyn M.D. Ph.D, Michał Rogula M.D., Adam Michcik M.D. Ph.D., as well as operating-theater assistants Beata Dorosz and Renata Zielińska.
