Bioinnovation International Summit 2017 is an annual event with an international outreach and a growing reputation. One of the honorary patrons of the event was the Medical University of Gdańsk. During this year’s edition, which took place in Gdańsk in the Science and Technology Park on October 19-20, among the MUG’s scientists presenting the results of their work were Lucyna Konieczna Ph.D. and Anna Roszkowska Ph.D. with their work “Diagnostic test for the assessment of the level of amino acids in the exhaled breath condensates (EBC) in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)”, as well as Aleksandra Markiewicz, Ph.D. with a presentation “Significance of molecular profiling of circulating tumor cells in breast cancer patients ”, which was distinguished by the organisers as the best oral presentation of the conference.

During the conference were presented technological offers of the MUG’s projects prepared by the employees of the Innovation and Transfer of Knowledge Department – Martyna Wesserling Ph.D. and Katarzyna Waligóra-Borek Ph.D. During the Bioinnovation International Summit 2017, scientists were given the opportunity to evaluate the projects which have potential for implementation. Thanks to meetings with the industry experts, researchers were able to see if their ideas match the modern needs of the industrial sector, while the staff of the Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Department attracted investors to the MUG’s technology offerings.
