SEKSTANS training conference for GPs

More than 100 General Practitioners (GP) took part in a training conference which was a part of the “SEKSTANS” Continuing Education Programme, which was organised by the MUG’s Department of Family Medicine, the Polish Association of Family Medicine and the Society of Lung Diseases – Gdańsk Branch. The meeting was led by prof. Ewa Jassem (head of the Department of Allergology), prof. Janusz Siebert (head of the Department of Family Medicine), Krzysztof Kuziemski M.D. Ph.D. and Zbigniew Afeltowicz M.D. Ph.D.

Scientists discussed the most important issues related to modern therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and co-morbidities in this group of patients, such as heart failure and psychosomatic disorders. The lectures were followed by the discussion on diagnostic and therapeutic problems faced by GPs.
