A team of the MUG’s scientists: Grażyna Moszkowska Ph.D., Hanna Zielińska Ph.D., Maciej Zieliński M.A., Anna Dukat-Mazurek M.A., Magdalena Jankowska Ph.D. and prof. Piotr Trzonkowski together with Dorota Lewandowska Ph.D. from POLTRANSPLANT received the Polish Transplantation Society Award – the Pro Transplantationibus Fovendis, for a long-term research on diagnosis and role of alleles in renal transplant patients. The result of this work was the development of an algorithm for their evaluation, which is currently used in all transplant recipients in Poland.
The members of the team are also prof. Alicja Dębska-Ślizień and prof. Bolesław Rutkowski from the MUG and prof. Roman Danielewicz from POLTRANSPLANT, who due to current professional positions and according to the terms and conditions of the prize could not be honored.
The award ceremony took place during the 13th Congress of the Polish Transplant Society in Warsaw.
