Nearly 250 students from all over the world started today the Orientation Week. It is a series of meetings which lasts from September 25-29 and aims to facilitate new students at the University and in Gdansk as a foreign city. Among the group are both students who start their studies in the field of medicine and nursing, as well as participants of international exchanges, e.g. Erasmus + programme.
The new students came to Gdansk from all over the world – Sweden, Germany, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Syria, India and Saudi Arabia. They will meet students from years above, get to know the organisations working in the University and get useful information about visas, address registration, health insurance required in our country etc. The meeting started with the lecture of Vice-Rector for Students’ Affairs, Tomasz Smiatacz M.D. Ph.D. The Orientation Week will be finished off on Friday with an integration party.
