The Polish version of SCOPE research project

Łukasz Balwicki Ph.D. from the MUG’s Department of Public Health and Social Medicine participated in a scientific meeting in Hong Kong on August 24-27. The meeting was organised by prof. Kara Chan from Hong Kong Baptist University as part of a research project of the Social and Communities Opportunities Profile (SCOPE). The Polish version of the SCOPE, henceforth, the SCOPE-P, aims to measure social inclusion among mental health services users who may experience withdrawal from society. As part of the project, interviews were conducted with patients at the MUG’s Department of Adult Psychiatry, thanks to courtesy of its head, Wieslaw J. Cubała M.D. Ph.D. Also, involved in the project are prof. Peter Huxley from Bangor University (UK) and Dr CHIU Yu Lung Marcus from the City University of Hong Kong.
