Good news from the Ophthalmology Department, UCC

Weekly magazine WPROST has published a nationwide ranking of Polish hospitals. The Deaprtment of Ophthalmology of the University Clinical Center (UCC) took the 3rd place in the category of “Ophthalmology”. In the Clinic, specialists use a vitreoretinal surgery system Heads-up. Thanks to the system, specialists do not have to use a microscope. An image is projected onto a stereoscopic TrueVision 3D monitor. During a surgery, an ophthalmologist uses 3D polarized glasses. In the UCC, the surgeries based on the Heads-up technique are performed by prof. Krystyna Raczyńska M.D. Ph.D., Andrzej Gębka M.D. Ph.D., Joanna Murawska M.D. Ph.D, and Dorota Raczyńska M.D. Ph.D.
