Distinction of the MUG’s oncologists

Marcin Skrzypski M.D. Ph.D. and Jacek Rutkowski M.D. from the MUG’s Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy participated in the 13th Central European Oncology Congress in Opatija, Chroatia on June 21-24. The MUG’s researchers took the first two places for the best scientific reports, both focused on the immunological aspects of lung cancer. Marcin Skrzypski presented a report “Prognostic value of NK and T-lymphocyte markers in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)” and Jacek Rutkowski „Peripheral blood CTLA-4() and PD-1() T-cells changes and their impact on overall survival after stereotactic body radiotherapy (SABR) for early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)”. The MUG’s Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy is led by Prof. Jacek Jassem M.D., Ph.D.
