The MUG’s didactic base has been expanded with a modern simulation room in the Department of Dental Prosthetics. The facility consists of 12 simulators (dental unit and head with torso) together with a full set of dental instruments and a chair for an operating person. The simulation room will allow students to perform phantom clinical treatments in the conditions that mirror those in the dentist’s office. The investment fits into the basic strategic goal of the University in terms of teaching, which is to improve the quality of teaching practical treatment and achieve a high level of preparation of the MUG’s students of the Faculty of Dentistry. The equipment of the simulation room cost over 650 000 PLN and 350 000 PLN was the cost of adaptation of the space which included construction, sanitary, electrical and ventilation works. The Department of Dental Prosthetics is led by prof. Zdzisław Bereznowski M.D. Ph.D.
