Success of the MUG’s students

The MUG students competed for the third time in the “Golden Scapula” competition. As every year, they were at the podium. Sixty-nine participants from twelve Polish medical universities took part in this year’s edition of the nationwide competition “Scapula Aurea/Golden Scapula”, which took place on May 27th in Krakow. Students of the first year of the Polish-speaking and English-speaking Faculty of Medicine presented the highest level of anatomical knowledge. In the individual classification, the MUG represented Izabela Kotlewska and Agata Pszczółka who took 4th and 5th place, respectively. As a team, the two students together with Małgorzata Styczewska won the 2nd place in Scapula Aurea 2017. In the individual category of English-speaking students, the winner of Golden Scapula 2017 was Melad Gholamhossein who together with Hanna Olofsson and Alexander Grzeska won the 3rd place in the Golden Scapula 2017 team category. Students’ preparation to the competition was supervised by Jan Spodnik M.D. Ph.D. from the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology.
