MUG in the Transparent Ranking of top universities

Cybermetrics Lab, a Spanish institution which develop Transparent Ranking, an international ranking of citations, included the Medical University of Gdańsk in their list of over 9 thousand universities most commonly cited in Google Scholar. The MUG came in 1650 place with 14 433 citations. – We are glad that we are among the best universities in the world and one of four Polish medical universities. We have potential and ambition to be even better – said prof. Jacek Bigda, Vice-Rector for Development and Education.

The top ten universities in the ranking dominated American universities. The first place belongs to Harvard University with nearly 1.5 million citations. The results collected in the Transparent Ranking will be used as one of the criteria for the next edition of Ranking Web of Universities in 2017, which will be published at the end of January-February this year.
