Happy New Year

End of the year is always a time to reflection and to summarize achievements while planning ahead. 2016 was a good year for University, clinical hospitals and the entire Medical University of Gdańsk community. It was full of significant events and thanks to our efforts we can be proud of time and opportunities well spent. I would like to thank all MUG staff, students and Ph.D. candidates for their effort and involvement in building a stronger University. I would like to congratulate you on all your scientific, didactic and organizational achievements. I thank the students for their exceptional involvement and undertaking valuable research and community projects. I also thank the staff and managers of MUG clinical units – University Clinical Centre, University Centre for Maritime & Tropical Medicine, University Dental Centre and the Family Medicine Centre.

The upcoming year will bring new challenges. However I am fully convinced that in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation we are able to cope with all new and often difficult tasks. I wish all the MUG staff and students enthusiasm, persistence and courage in realizing their plans. May 2017 be full of personal and professional success, satisfaction and inspiration.
