Inauguration of the 2016/2017 academic year

On October 7th 2016, nearly 1400 students officially began their first year of studies at the MUG. The Inauguration ceremony took place at 10:00 at the prof. Narkiewicz Auditorium Primum. During the ceremony Rector prof. Marcin Gruchała delivered the inaugural speech. The lecture “Precision Medicine” delivered by prof. Anna Dominiczak, a MUG graduate, the daughter of prof. Joanna Muszkowska-Penson and prof. James Penson, a deputy director and head of the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences University of Glasgow.

During the ceremony were honored by The President of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, Bogdan Borusewicz, Deputy Speaker of the Senate; Adam Korol, envoy; Paweł Orłowski, a board member of the Pomeranian province; Dariusz Denim, Pomeranian Voivode; rectors and vice-rectors of the national universities; Bishop Wiesław Szlachetka and many esteemed guests.
