Prof. Piotr Szefer, Head of Chair & Department of Bromatology was elected to the Committee for Exploration of the Sea Academy for of the Polish Academy of Sciences 4-year term (2016-2020), for whom working continuously for nearly 25 years. In the years 2007-2015 he served as Vice-Chairman of that Committee (1999-2015). Professor was also president of the Section, Team Chemistry Sea (1999 to 2011).

Head of Chair & Department of Bromatology was during that time elected to two others PAN, to the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1993-2019) presiding the Team Analytical Food of that Committee and the Committee of Science and Therapy of Drug Sciences (2015-2019).
