Associate Prof. Bartosz Karaszewski, M.D., Ph.D., Head of Chair of Neurology got a “Gold synapse” (Złota Synapsa) fore the most significant article of neurological published in 2015. (Karaszewski and co-workers: “What causes intracerebral bleeding after thrombolysis for acute ischaemic stroke? Recent insights into mechanisms and potential biomarkers”. Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry 2015,86:1127-1136).

The statuette was presented at the Congress of Neurology Elsevier 2016. The Congress took place April 7th.
