Dr Abdulrahman Alhumedhi, cultural attaché at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabian in Germany and dr Ahmad Alahmadi, head of the Poland Office at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabian in Germany visited MUG on August 18th 2015. The guests met with Rector prof. Janusz Moryś, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs prof. Marcin Gruchała and the Dean of Faculty of Medicine prof. Maria Dudziak. During their visit, they toured the Department of Anatomy, the Department of Histology, the Main Library, the Department of Foreign Languages and the Invasive Medicine Centre. In addition, they met with the MUG students who are receiving the King Abdullah (Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques) Scholarship.
Of the 97 students from Saudi Arabia currently studying at the MUG, 87 are scholarship recipients. Seven of the scholarship students earn some of the top marks in their class, among them are: Murtadha Alkhadhrawi, Ahmed Alkhater, Abdullah Almahroos, Emad Almohisin, Jawad Al Zara, Mousa Alnakhli (all I year of Medicine) and Haithan Khoj (II year of medicine). In addition, Mousa Alnakhli and Abdullah Almahroos along with two other MUG students won 2nd place in the team category at the Intercollegiate Competition of Anatomical Knowledge “Scapula Aurea” on June 18th this year in Bydgoszcz.
