Prof. Jacek Jassem, head of the MUG Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy, is regarded as the person with the most influence on the changes in the Polish healthcare system. Whereas prof. Marian Zembala, exceptional cardiosurgeon and director of the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze, is on the top of the list in the clinical category.
Experts from the “Puls Medycyny” analyzed the achievements in treatment, introducing groundbreaking procedures and technology, establishing new directions for the development of Polish medicine as well as the influence on the legislative, organizational and functional changes in the healthcare system.
Both professors also held leading spots in the 2013 edition of the Lista Stu (“List of 100”). According to Krzysztof Jakubiak, chief editor of “Puls Medycyny,” this confirms that both professors have exceptional clinical achievements and are highly regarded in the healthcare system.
