Prof. Kaliszan receives an award from the Prime Minister of Poland

Prof. Roman Kaliszan, head of the MUG Department of Biopharmacy and Pharmacodynamics, received the 2013 Prime Minister of Poland Award for exceptional achievements in research.

Prof. Kaliszan is a pioneer of research regarding the optimization of chromatographic analysis using quantitative structure-retention relationships. The QSRR method is currently applied around the world in pharmaceutical analytics, analytical chemistry, proteomics, medical chemistry, pharmacology, computer modeling and many other fields.

A total of 44 exceptional researchers (including the authors of best PhD and Doctor Habilis dissertations) and 2 research teams earned the Prime Minister of Poland Awards for the year 2013.

These awards were established by the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1994. The current Chairman of the Award Committee is prof. Piotr Węgleński.
