Global success of the MUG Choir

The MUG Choir conducted by Jerzy Szarafiński won a gold medal in the Spiritual category and a silver medal in the Mixed Choirs category at the World Choir Games 2014 in Riga (Latvia). The Games are the largest and most prestigious of all choir competitions in the world. Over 500 choirs from 74 countries, represented by about 27000 singers competed in Riga this year. The international panel of judges consisting of accomplished conductors and musicians assessed the difficulty of pieces, the originality of their interpretation and the artistic expression. With its award-winning performance in Riga, the singers of the MUG Choir confirmed that they belong to the global elite of vocalists.
