On October 16-19 2013, the MUG co-organized the 7th BioInnovation International Summit in Gdańsk, combined with the 12th meeting of the ScanBalt Forum. The SIDA Group met on the second day of the conference at a plenary session regarding the project “Improvement of Health Care Resources in Da Nang” coordinated by the Scandinavian Care Foundation. The MUG is one of the partners involved in this project, whose aim is to solve the problems of poverty and discrimination in Vietnam by improving the quality of the health care system as well as increasing access to health care and higher education. Two medical universities in Da Nang are participating in this project: the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the National Technical College of Medicine No. II. The representatives of these two universities met on October 18th with prof. Janusz Moryś (MUG Rector), prof. Tomasz Bączek (Vice-Rector for Science) and prof. Jacek Bigda (Head of the Office of Strategy and International Cooperation). The meeting resulted in signing of cooperation agreement between the MUG and the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. During their stay in Gdańsk, the Vietnamese visitors were under the friendly care of the staff of the MUG Office of International Relations, Promotion & Develepment Projects.
