More than 120 specialists of human anatomy as well as veterinarian anatomy took part in the XXXI Congress of the Polish Anatomical Society on June 27th-30th 2013 in the Charlotta’s Valley near Słupsk. This year’s Congress was organized by the MUG Department of Anatomy. The plenary lectures were delivered by invited speakers: prof. Michał Stachowiak (University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, USA), prof. Orlando Paciello (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy) and prof. Krzysztof Turlejski (Institute of Experimental Biology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warszawa). A total of four oral and six poster sessions were held and Aneta Stasiewicz BSc is among the young scientists recognized for most interesting presentation.
Elections for positions in the Polish Anatomical Society also took place during the Congress – Chairman prof.Mirosław Ciszek (Warszawa) was re-elected, whereas prof. Małgorzata Bruska (Poznań) and prof. Marek Grzybiak (Gdańsk) were elected Vice-Chairmen.
