Marcin Ostrowski, IV year of medicine and Chairman of the Student Scientific Club at the MUG Department of Thoracic Surgery, is among the 24 winners of a scholarship to attend the “ECCO Elective Course in Oncology” organized by the European CanCer Organisation on July 8-19th 2013 in Antwerp.
Since 2005, this course has been organized under the patronage of the leading European cancer societies: European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO) i European Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE). The aim of the scholarship is to encourage the most promising IV-VI year students to specilize in cancer-related fields of medicine.
For two weeks, the future doctors will cooperate with experienced clinicians from Belgium, Germany, Holland, Serbia, Sweden and United Kingdom at plenary sessions, lectures, case presentations and clinics.
