MUG wins Beach volleball championship

The MUG was the host and organizer of the 4th edition of the National Medical University Beach Volleyball Championships which took place on May 11-12th 2013 at the Gdańsk-Brzeźno beach. The MUG women’s team coached Andrzej Bocian MSc, won silver medals in the pairs and bronze medals in the team categories. The silver medalists are Dorota Kaniuka (V year of pharmacy) and Marta Dornowska (IV year of medicine). The bronze medalists were Natalia Grycko (III year of pharmacy) and Natalia Kotyza (I year of paramedic program) along with Dorota Kaniuka and Marta Dornowska.

The men’s team (also coached by Andrzej Bocian, BSc) gave a high-level performance and won gold medals for the first time in this championship’s history. The national champions are: Peter Kanyion (VI year of medicine, English Division), Rafał Kowalczyk (II year of medicine), Bartosz Kuta (V year of dentistry) and Marcin Czajkowski (III year of physiotherapy).
