A White Piano at the MUG Invasive Medicine Centre

26.03.2013

On Friday, March 22nd almost 250 people, mostly patients of the MUG University Clinical Centre, listened to jazz pianist Stanisław Sojka perform at the MUG Invasive Medicine Centre. This was the first performance as part of the project “White Pianos in Poland’s Hospitals” co-organized by MUG and Fundacja Rosa, which created the public awareness campaign “Cancer. It’s treatable!”. The purpose of the piano project is to change the public perception of hospitals as places that can be friendly and not only associated with disease and stress. The project’s second aim is to remind the public about the fundamental importance of hospitals to focus more on psychological and spiritual care of patients who undergo a long and painful treatment process.
