MUG students competed at the Pomeranian Regional Ski and Snowboard Championship

Eighty-eight students from 6 universities competed in the 4th annual Pomeranian Regional Academic Ski and Snowboard Championship that took place on February 5th 2013. Students competed at the Koszałkowo slope in Wieżyca for medals as well as for points qualifying towards the National Academic Championship that will take place in Zakopane this March.

The MUG womens team won silver medals in the general classification (skiing slalom and giant slalom). Zuzanna Pikiel (Medicine, 3rd year) had the best day on the slopes, winning individual bronze medals in slalom and giant slalom. Katarzyna Handke (Medicine, 4th year) also deserves recognition for taking 6th place in both slaloms.

Whereas the MUG mens team earned the unlucky 4th place in the general classification, with notable races by Michał Wysocki (Masters of Physiotherapy, 2nd year) and Marcin Budaszewski (Paramedic Program, 3rd year).
