MUG students from the Gdańsk branch of the International Federation of Medical Student Associations-Poland have raised 2000zł during the concert “Smiles for Christmas” which took place on December 15th 2012 at the Atheneum Gedanense Novum building. This concert was the final event of the “Teddy Bear under the Hospital Christmas Tree” project that lasted for several weeks on our campus. The goal of the project is to raise funds for children who are spending Christmas in the hospitals in Gdańsk. The Auditorium Primum lecture hall has never seen such a festive Christmas spirit!
Over 200 people in the audience had fun listening to Christmas songs such as “Santa Baby”, “Feliz Navidad” or “Z kopyta kulig rwie” sang by MUG students. Bands “Kot Kreskowy” and “Piąta Strona Świata” also performed at the concert. The audience also saw a presentation about the previous editions of the “Teddy Bear under the Hospital Christmas Tree” project. The donated money will allow students to purchase lots of gifts for the little patients and to make their Christmas unforgettable.
