The inauguration of the new 2018/2019 academic year

Nearly 1600 students (including 250 foreign students from Sweden, Norway, India, Rwanda, Zombabwe, and Iran) will start their studies at the MUG. The inauguration of the new 2018/2019 academic year at the Medical University of Gdańsk will take place on October 8, 2018, at 10 am at the Auditorium Primum named after Olgierd Narkiewicz, the Atheneum Gedanense Novum (AGN) building.

• Inaugural speech of rector, prof. Marcin Gruchała
• Handing decorations and distinctions
• Matriculation
• Gaude Mater Polonia
• Speech by students’ representative
• Guest speeches
• Inaugural lecture “Vilnius roots of the Medical University of Gdańsk”
• Gaudeamus

The inauguration will be preceded by a solemn mass which will take place on October 7, 2018, at 7 pm in the church of Our Lady of Czestochowa (pw. Matki Boskiej Częstochowskiej) in Gdansk-Wrzeszcz at 3B M. Skłodowska-Curie street.

On the day of the Inauguration rector’s hours will be announced from 9 am to 2 pm. This applies to students, Ph.D. students and employees of the University. About the time and a form of making up the programme content planned for that day decides its didactic staff.
