On October 20th, the members of the Student Scientific Club at the MUG Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy completed another stage of their project “Impulse for the heart.” Their aim is to increase the Tricity residents’ awareness of how and when to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) as well as where to find AEDs in public places.

The “Impulse for the heart” project is ongoing. Students were present at the electro-heating plant Wybrzeże during its open day. You will be able to meet them on October 25th at the Gdańsk Biega (Gdańsk Running) event at Brzeźno beach and on November 8th at the Riviera shopping center in Gdynia. Everyone will have a chance to use an AED on a training manikin and to practice resuscitation skills. The project’s honorary patron is prof. Marcin Gruchała, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs.
